Sailing & Robotics Workshop Fridays - Spring (Ages 7 to 15)
This workshop will be a combo class that offers robotics and engineering in the morning and sailing/aquatics in the afternoon. In the robotics workshop, students will learn engineering concepts and basic electronics by using motors, sensors, laptops and tablets, switches, remotes, and gears to create all sorts of fun machines such as a mechanical soccer leg, throwing arm, self-made battery powered vehicles, and much more through the entire year.
In the sailing/paddling workshop, students will learn the concepts of a sailboat and learn skills that will help them navigate their boat around beautiful Newport Harbor! There will also be paddling activity days with kayaks and/or stand up paddle boards with a once a month fishing outing offered as well throughout the year. Program is available to youth ages 7-15. Swim check will be completed on a student's first day.
