Snorkeling (Ages 11 to 17)

Event Details

Come snorkeling with the NSB team!  Enjoy practicing in the pool at the IROEC and swimming in the ocean at Shaw's Cove at Laguna Beach and learn the skills of a snorkeler. Included are two class dates where students will learn diver safety signs, swim patterns, how to properly dive, and on-the-water rescue skills in our harbor and in the ocean. Scouts will earn a snorkeling certificate! After earning this certificate, Scouts can now bring this certificate to the Scout Shop and purchase their Snorkel patch (same process as with merit badges).  Students must be strong swimmers and will be required to take a swim test at the start of the class.

*Class will not be held at the Newport Sea Base.

1st class: Irvine Ranch Outdoor Education Center (Pool), 2nd class: Shaw's Cove (Laguna Beach). Staff supervision and instruction provided at all times.

This session runs from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday October 10th and 17th.

Please remember to check the attachments for additional details before your class begins.
