This workshop will be a combo class that offers 2D Video Game Designing in the morning and sailing/kayaking/paddleboarding in the afternoon. Beginner to Intermediate students welcome. Build and design custom 2D video games with software from Microsoft Make Code Arcade. Create your own levels and characters and watch them come alive on screen.  Each student will be provided a laptop for class times at NSB. Students will create multiple games through the trimester culminating with a gaming competition on the last day of class where students get to try each others games and vote on recognition awards such as best overall game, best main character design and more!  New activities every day as the program is built for participants to participate September-May to continue their mastery of game design and boating skills. 

Most children sign up for the entire school year allowing for their sailing & video design skills to build as well as their friendships to grow throughout the year with their classmates.

*Closure: Nov. 24, Tues (Thanksgiving Week). This class is built to have new activities for the entire school year - Sept-May.

This session runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm every Tuesday from Sept.15th to Dec 8th

*REGISTRATION NOTE: If you are using charter funds, you will need to register and send us an enrichment certificate or purchase order per trimester by the first day of class with Newport Sea Base.  Students are expected to attend this program the entire trimester.  Students need to register for the next trimester to continue.
