End Time Saturday, March 21 at 5PM

 

 

Rancho San Joaquin District will be hosting the Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills training for all adult leaders who need required training to earn their Trained status to officially register as an Assistant Scoutmaster and Scoutmaster.

 

This course is mandatory training for all adults who are registering as an ASM and SM.

 

Every Troop deserves a trained leader.

 

Please note that this event requires participants to camp overnight from Friday evening to Saturday afternoon when the course ends.

 

You will be learning Scouting America approved recommendations for outdoor adventures that conform to Scout Safely recommendations while using the Patrol method.  This includes camping and preparing meals together as a Patrol.

 

Patrol assignments will be sent out a week prior to start of course.  You will have the remaining time to organize yourselves within the Patrols to plan your menus, obtain the food, and gather supplies for your Patrol boxes.  The Course will be delivered to participants in their Patrols using the Patrol method.
