Interactive combo class of hands-on projects that will vary throughout the year with mornings filled with building premium projects from scratch like clocks, motorized race cars, solar powered projects, and more using materials such as wood and plastic and basic child-safe tools like hammers, screwdrivers, and sanding blocks, and afternoons with sailing, paddle sports, and fishing adventures around scenic Newport Harbor.

Every maker workshop project will be able to take home and keep!

*REGISTRATION NOTE: This class is built to have new activities for the entire school year - Sept-May; most children sign up for the entire school year allowing for their Sailing & Creative Maker skills to build as well as their friendships to grow throughout the year with their classmates.

This class is built as an entire school year program broken into 1 month registration increments. For many youth, this class serves as a home room for your children to learn, thrive and have fun all school-year long. Children will be able to register for 1 month at a time, and will need to complete payment or show proof of charter school payment certificates upon registration.

This session runs from 9:30am to 2:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays during the specified dates.

*ONE DAY OPTION: You can opt to sign up for only 1 out of the two days with a prorated cost of $459 per child and would need to commit to either Tues or Thurs for the month. Please call 714-923-3191 or email Jack Conlon at outdoor@ocbsa.org to request this prorated fee before you make a payment.
