Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills at Firestone.

Working as patrols, this hands-on course provides adult leaders the practical outdoor skills they need to lead Scouts. Upon completion, leaders should feel comfortable teaching the basic skills required to obtain the First Class rank. Along with Scoutmaster Specific, this course is required of all direct contact leaders registered in Boy Scout Troops in order to be considered “trained."

The course starts at 8 AM Saturday Morning and ends at 11:30 am on Sunday. Lunch and Dinner on Saturday and Breakfast on Sunday are provided.

Required:  You need to attend BOTH days.   This is an overnight event, you will be required to provide your own camping equipment. Recommend you complete Scoutmaster-Specific Training  prior to attendance at IOLS. 

Cost : $45

Ages: adult leaders

Need: Full name (as on membership card), Scout membership #, address, phone, email, Troop and position (Scout Master, Assistant Scoutmaster, etc.), and any dietary needs.

Leadership Position training completed:

proof of current registration and Youth Protection are required when registering online.

Must provide Heath Form A & B upon arrival at training (it will be returned)
