The Citizenship in the Community merit badge is a required badge for the Eagle Scout rank in Scouting America. It teaches Scouts about their rights, duties, and obligations as part of a local society, encouraging active civic participation, volunteerism, and an understanding of how local governments operate. To earn the badge, Scouts complete an 8-step requirement framework.

Date & Time: Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 1:00pm to 3:30pm

Cost: $50 per Scout (12 scouts max in class)

• Bring signed blue card
• Dress in field uniform
• Read the Merit Badge Book
• Worksheet is recommended (find online or use paper)
• Do prerequisites 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8

• Read requirement 2a (determine distance and record from home via driving, and either walking or biking)
• Requirement 3a must be done in person
• If not completed may make an appointment to return.
