Cabrillo Merit Badge Days - Wednesday, July 12th

Event Details


Cost $45 Per Class


  • Come in class A uniform.
  • Bring signed blue cards.
  • Have the merit badge worksheet filled out.
  • Read all requirements.

Morning Period (8:30 am to 12:00 pm)

  • Canoeing (must pass BSA swim test)
  • Citizenship in Nation (prerequisites requirements 2,3,6, and 8)
  • Leatherwork (prerequisites requirement 4) additional cost for leather
  • Citizenship in Society (age group 16 -17 only)

Afternoon Period (1:00 pm to 4:00 pm)

  • Oceanography
  • Communication (be prepared to give the 5 speeches)
  • Traffic Safety
  • Citizenship in Society (age group 14-15 only)

Look at requirements. Most of the merit badge requires open discussion, explaining and describing. Set aside quiet time to work on the merit badge. Requirements require the scout engage their brain to think, contemplate and consider. Common outside of Scouting areas of life could include school, church, band, and clubs.
