The American Heritage Merit Badge is a history and civics-based award in Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America). It requires Scouts to explore American history, founding documents, and cultural traditions to better understand the nation's development and their role as citizens. 

The badge is available to any registered Scout (including Scouts BSA and Venturers). Because it is academic in nature, counselors expect Scouts to do independent research and complete specific assignments.

Date & Time: Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 10:30am to 1:00pm

Cost: $50 per Scout (15 scouts max in class)
