NRA Shotgun Instructor Courses

What to run Troop Shoots?  Volunteer at Shooting Sports Events?  Work at Council Camps?

Course Info: This training weekend includes both the NRA Basic Shotgun Course and the NRA Shotgun Instructor Course, which are the 2 required courses to earn your NRA Shotgun Instructor certification. The NRA Shotgun Instructor certification is one of the credentials that allow people to conduct Troop Shotgun Shoots, assist with Shooting Sports activities at events, and work on shooting ranges at Scouts BSA Camps. These 2 courses will provide you with the knowledge, skills, and certification to instruct Shotgun shooters on ranges.

Cost: The total cost for both courses is $50 (paid on Black Pug), plus a $200 materials fee (paid on the day of the training). The cost includes camp access, course materials, instruction, and ammunition.
