(IOLS) Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills at Firestone

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is a hands-on training course for adult leaders in Scouts BSA, designed to equip them with the practical skills needed to lead outdoor programs safely and effectively. It's a required training for all Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters, but open to all registered adults. IOLS covers essential outdoor skills, leadership principles, and teaching methods related to Scouts BSA rank advancements.
Date: September 26-27, 2026
Registration and check-in starts 8:00am - 8:30am Saturday and course ends Sunday at noon. This is an overnight event.
Location: Firestone Scout Reservation
There will be designated sleeping area for participants. Bring tent, sleeping bag, toiletries.
Meals:
The following meals will be provided
- Saturday lunch and dinner.
- Sunday breakfast
Course Fees:
- $55 - Per Participant
- Fees collected will cover meals and consumable materials used during the course. Course fees are required by all parties.
