Communication---This clear and concise definition comes from the U.S. Department of Education: “Communication focuses on how people use messages to generate meanings within and across various contexts, cultures, channels, and media. The field of communication promotes the effective and ethical practice of human communication.”

The badge is available to any registered Scout (including Scouts BSA and Venturers). 

Date & Time: Saturday, October 10, 2026 from 10:00am to 12:00pm

Cost: $50 per Scout (12 scouts max in class)

Communication Merit Badge:

• Read all the requirements
• Wear field uniform
• Bring a signed Blue Card
• You will need speeches prepared for: 2, 3, 6
• Do on your own: 4, 5, 8, 9
• Be ready to share
