Sustainability---Learn to reduce waste and teach sustainable practices to others so you can help conserve Earth’s resources with the Sustainability Merit Badge. Scouts will develop and implement a plan to reduce their water usage, household food waste, and learn about the sustainability of different energy sources, including fossil fuels, solar, wind, nuclear, hydropower, and geothermal.

The badge is available to any registered Scout (including Scouts BSA and Venturers). 

TWO DATES REQUIRED

Date & Time:

Saturday, October 3, 2026, 9:00-10:30am on Zoom link (will be sent a week prior)

Saturday, November 7, 2026, 9:30-11:00am in person at CWSC

Cost: $50 per Scout (15 scouts max in class)

Sustainability Merit Badge:

• October class: Zoom discussion and direction on what needs to be done
• November class: In person to show what you have completed
• Read all the requirements. Due requirements to the best of your ability. The phamplet is helpful.
• Wear field uniform
• Bring a signed Blue Card
