The family is the basic unit of society and is important to both individuals and communities. The world is rapidly changing, making today’s society much more complex than ever before. As Scouts earn this merit badge, they will realize why it is important to know more about family life and how to strengthen their families.

The badge is available to any registered Scout (including Scouts BSA and Venturers). 

Date & Time: Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm

Cost: $50 per Scout (10 scouts max in class)

Family Life Merit Badge:

• Read all the requirements
• Wear field uniform
• Bring a signed Blue Card (will not be signed completed until 90 days are finished)
• Be prepared for open discussion
• Talk with parent
• Chores done weekly
• Requirement 4 must be done by the scout only (no one else)
