Merit Badge Counselor: Eric Tassio joined UA Local 467 in 1997 and graduated from the 5-year UA Local 467 Apprenticeship Program in 2002 as a Journeyman Plumber-Pipefitter-Welder.  Starting in 2003 he became an instructor at UA Local 467 while working full time as a Journeyman in the field and teaching school at night. Eric graduated from the Untied Associations (UA) Instructor Training Program in 2010 with not only the general requirements but also as a certified OSHA instructor. He was a field "hand" for 19 years and worked on such projects as: All of the buildings at Genentech, Stanford University’s Linear Accelerator Center, the remodel of Tanforan Mall and many more building here in San Mateo County. Eric was the Welding Instructor and the Basics of the Trades Instructor for 13 years before becoming Business Agent in 2016.
