2023 Merit Badge Midway

Event Details

2023 Merit Badge Midway - Saturday, March 4, 2023

Registration restricted to only Pacific Skyline Scouts.

You will not be able to participate in this virtual Midway and the in-person First Aid Merit Badge class or the Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge class. They are all on the same date at the same time and at different locations. To register for these classes click the appropriate links.

A Scout’s BSA ID number will be required for registration for the Main Midway. This is different from the ScoutBook User ID number. Please make sure you have that number before registration opens for the Main Midway. It can be found on Scoutbook in the Personal Profile or your unit leaders can give it to you.

Prerequisites:Prerequisites can be found in the Class Catalog linked on this page. Scouts are expected to obtain and read the Merit Badge Pamphlet. Most troops have a Merit Badge Book library. You may be able to check the merit badge books out from your troop. Public libraries also often have many of these books.

Merit Badge worksheets are highly recommended for the midway but not required. They make recording the prerequisites easier for the Scout as well as the counselor, but you may use a regular word document or equivalent to explain your prerequisites.

Cost:
$45 (includes up to two merit badge classes)

Times:
A.M. classes 8:30am - approx. 11:30am.
P.M. classes 12:30pm - approx. 3:30pm.

Location:
Virtual Event

*Genealogy Merit Badge is an in-person class at a Family History Center. Location: Family History Center at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 975 Sneath Ln., San Bruno CA 94066. You can have a second class with Genealogy but be aware you will need to plan for travel time to or from your home for the second class that day.

Blue Cards: We will be solely using Scoutbook for this event. We will not be using Blue Cards. Your counselor will add him or herself as your counselor through Scoutbook to check off requirements. Please make sure you or your leaders have added this badge or badges to your personal list of merit badges as soon as you are registered for the Midway.

Scouts, if you email a counselor with questions or asking for clarification on something, to be in accordance with BSA and Pacific Skyline Council policy you MUST CC another adult, like your Scoutmaster or a parent/guardian.
