2020 Oljato Summer Camp

Camp Oljato is a magical place! From the moment of arrival to the last day of camp, Scouts are immersed in the outdoor adventure of Scouting.

Tastebuds, an independent company, will provide food service for Camp Oljato summer 2020!
We are very excited to announce that in order to address staffing challenges we had in 2019, we have contracted with Tastebuds Food Service company for Camp Oljato summer 2020! We also heard from troop leadership that more and more Scouts are requesting vegetarian and special dietary need options every year. Tastebuds is a leader in the summer camp food service industry with over 20 years of highly rated service to youth camps.
What will be new and different at Camp Oljato for 2020?
- Each day Scouts will enjoy a unique and plentiful menu delivered by a professional food service director and 3 professional chefs for every meal.
- A revamped and larger salad bar with more vegetarian options will be available.
- Tastebuds can accommodate special dietary needs and requests.
- Every afternoon a healthy snack will be provided!
To make a reservation for your unit, click the green "Register" button (to the right) corresponding to the week of camp your unit would like to attend.
Your initial registration will require a $300 deposit to hold your unit's spot. Attendee counts may serve as estimates until your unit's final balance is due on May 1, 2020. However, we encourage you to make the counts as close as possible to what the actual will be. Full fee and payment schedule information is below. Each unit is required to have a minimum of 2 adults over the age of 21. Girl Troops must have at least one of these 2 leaders be female. All adults attending summer camp must be registered members of the BSA and have current Youth Protection Training throughout your stay at camp.
To make your initial registration you do not need any information about the attendees. However, all information will be required no later than May 1, 2020. This includes, name, date of birth, gender, and BSA membership number. Additionally, you will need to provide Youth Protection date, cell phone number, and email address for all adults attending. Again, this information will all be required beginning May 1, 2020. NOTE: Merit Badge registration will open on March 15. In order to register any Scouts for merit badges, you will need to provide their information prior to that date and have their deposits fully paid (see payment schedule below).
An account is not necessary to make your reservation, however having an account will make maintaining your unit's registration much easier. Please click the "My Account" button in the upper right-hand corner of this screen and then click the green "Register" button to create your account.
This registration system provides many tools and reports to you, the registration contact. This includes the "Parent Portal" where you can allow individual parents to login, make payments against their Scout's balance, and register their Scout for merit badge classes. To learn more about these tools and the other advantages of your account, click the orange "Support" button in the lower right-hand corner of the screen. Fees and Payment Schedule
Youth who are new to Scouts BSA in 2020 will not be charged the late fee (Webelos Cross-Over or otherwise).
At this time, we are accepting payment by check only. After making your reservation, please mail a check for the total amount you wish to pay immediately, with a note indicating your reservation number to our office at:
Checks should be made payable to "Pacific Skyline Council".
If you are making your unit's reservation prior to January 15, 2020, the minimum amount due is $300 for your unit deposit. Beginning January 15, you will need to pay the total of all deposits due as stated in the payment schedule above.
The campsite matrix below shows current room in each campsite. Your unit will only be permitted to select a campsite that matches your unit's size. The stated capacities are for total participants, youth and adults. The minimum capacity for exclusive use of a site is 75%. Units that do not meet that minimum capacity may have to share a site with one or more other units, or may be moved. At the discretion of the Camp Director, units may be moved to a more appropriately sized site as camp needs dictate, up to the day of your unit's arrival. Site preferences are on a first-come, first-reserved basis. Camp Oljato reserves the right to change your campsite assignment.
