Welcome to our 2020 Rendezvous shooting sports event, we hope that you have a great time and enjoy the event.

The 2020 Desert District Marksmanship Rendezvous has been organized to help Scouts hone their skills, and learn new ones, in an inspiring historic setting, with the Sierra’s majestic Kearsarge Peak, Mt. Mary Austin and Mt. Baxter as a backdrop. We are excited about all the activities at this event, and are confident that Scouts will enjoy them, and will have an experience they'll never forget.

The activities will require each Scout and Leader to bring a BSA part A&B Annual Health and Medical Record to the event, as well as the appropriate shooting sports consent forms. If a scout does not have a signed consent form, then he will not be allowed to participate in the activities. Wristbands will be used to indicate who can participate.

The activities will inspire, challenge, and teach skill sets that Scouts can carry with them for a lifetime.  For example, the rules of safe gun handling such as "ALWAYS keep your gun pointed in a safe direction" have practical application to decisions in life where responsibility is critical. And, learning and applying the fundamentals of a good shot helps Scouts to experience how self control enables them to "do their best."

With an extensive staff that includes many top-notch shooting instructors, it is our hope that every Scout and Venturer... and a few leaders... will leave this event with the pride of being a better marksman than when they came.
