Introduction to Outdoor Leadership (IOLS)

Adults work together as patrols.  This hands-on course provides adult leaders with practical outdoors skills for leading Scouts in the out-of-doors and teaching Scouts the basic skills required to obtain First Class rank.

 

 

Prerequisites:  (Staff & Participants)

(must be completed BEFORE the course is taken)

* Registered Adult (participants & staff) or Scouts BSA (staff only)

Current Youth Protection Training *** (Ages 18+) - Bring a copy of your certificate.

*  Completion of "California Mandated Reporter Training for Volunteers" - Bring a copy of your certificate.

* Present a completed "Annual Medical & Health Record" - Parts A & B medical form to check-in***

*Introduction to IOLS (My.Scouting.org)

* Weather Hazards Training (My.Scouting.org)

* Wear/Bring:  Field Uniform shirt & Pack/Troop T-shirt
