Calling all prospectors and scouts: It’s time to return to the Klondike! The Klondike Derby is a 30+ year running winter camping tradition held in February each year.

Troops, Venturers, Sea Scouts, and (AOL) Arrow Of Lights from around California are invited to participate in this winter adventure. Camp Chawanakee will be transformed into the wild Yukon where scouts will traverse the frontier, traveling from town to town testing their scout skills, competing for gold, and demonstrating the Patrol Method.

Start planning now for a great Scouting adventure. Prepare your sleds, prepare for snow, and prepare to compete as a patrol for gold and glory. Klondike will feature several events, including fire building, log saw, morse code, snow cannons, tomahawk throwing, and more.
