Disaster Preparedness is coming to
Scouting America’s Golden Gate
District on October 25th, 6:30-8:30pm
What is this training?
STEP (Student Tools for Emergency Planning) is a fun and educational tool that can help all youth learn simple ways to prepare for disasters. It empowers youth to help their family and loved ones prepare.
This 1.5-2 hour workshop teaches:
● Introduction to Natural Hazards
● Create Emergency Supply Kits
● Develop Family Communication Plans
Each youth receives supplies to start their own emergency kit.
The course is offered in partnership with the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management (SFDEM), under a grant from FEMA’s Grant Programs Directorate.
