WCA Preparation Overnighter

This is for WCA staff members who are spending the night Friday January 10 in order to prepare for the WCA event on Saturday January 11, 2025.

We would like staff staying overnight to arrive no later than 8pm to help with preparation and reviewing the routes.

Please be aware of the following important notes:

1. The $45.00 cost does not include food for the event.
2. All gear must be removed from the berthing area in the morning and stored at a designated location.
3. The event may be cancelled if there is not enough participation.

If you are over 18 as of January 10, 2025, you must meet these additional requirements:

Have current Youth Protection training through Saturday, January 11, 2025.

Be fully compliant with AB 506 which includes mandated state training and a Livescan background check. More information can be found at https://californiascouting.org. Please allow 30 days after your Livescan to complete processing and get the information properly recorded in the council records.

All adults staying overnight in connection with a Scouting activity must be currently registered as an adult volunteer or an adult program participant.  Adult volunteers must register in the position(s) they are serving in. Registration as a merit badge counselor position does not meet this requirement.
