Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation - BALOO
Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) Training is the premier training for adults leading cub scout camping trips.
At least one BALOO trained adult MUST be present at any Cub Scout Campout, and MORE is Better
Mission Peak District will be conducting a BALOO training right here in Fremont and Union City on March 22nd and 23rd. This training will give you the tools needed to successfully plan and lead Cub Scout campouts with your Pack or Den.

- Camping Gear Selection and Maintenance
- Health and Safety
- Nature and Hiking
- Outdoor Games
- Camping Site Selection and Setup
- Campout Program Planning
The morning session will take place at the Veterans Memorial Hall in Niles. Saturday afternoon we will move to Garin Park, where we will camp overnight, have breakfast, and depart by noon.
Participants will be required to take a short online introduction before the start of the course.
To take the online training sign in to www.My.Scouting.org.
Once signed in, select
My Training -> Explanded Learrning -> BALOO
and take the course.

The course will be taught by experienced Cub Scout leaders and is strongly recommended for every parent with an active cub scout.
