Meridian District Camporee 2026

Event Details

You’re Invited to the
2026 Meridian District Camporee -
"The Best Scout"

This year’s Patrol Competition will highlight Scouts’ ability to Master the Elements, overcome natural and man-made obstacles, and display great teamwork and leadership.  In two words: “Be Prepared”.  These traits define the challenges patrols will have to successfully navigate to gain the title of 2026 Camporee “Best Scout”.  Fast-thinking, preparedness, adaptability and speed will be some of the key ingredients to success.  Be Prepared to have fun and make new connections.

We are excited to see you attending this year’s Camporee. Please register as UNIT (not as individual attendees) for an easier process and accounting.  Each Troop must register all attendees, regardless as whether they are Adult, Youth, Participants, or Staff.

For Scout Units, please follow the following important registration deadlines:

  • All participating units must register online by March 31, 2026.
  • Additions received after March 31st are not guaranteed to receive a patch or a neckerchief.
  • Your registration details can be revised in BlackPug until April 17, 2026.
  • Online registration closes on April 17, 2026.  For last-minute attendees, read below.
  • Refund Policy: 80% until 4 weeks prior; 60% until 2 weeks prior. None within 2 weeks of start date.

Payment in full is due not later than March 31, 2026.  Payments will be processed via BlackPug.  Onsite payments will only be allowed for last-minute attendees. There will no guarantee late registrants will be able to receive a patch or neckerchief.  Onsite Payment needs to be by check payable to GGAC, mentioning Meridian Camporee 2026.

Our Youth leadership opted to forgo the usual hats or T-shirts (we all have too many which we do not use, right?) and decided to introduce the 2026 Camporee neckerchief!  So… This year, we will provide a neckerchief to all attendees that can be used as such, or as a bandanna, or as an arm ornament, or as a belt loop accessory.

For each Scout Unit, please note the following additional information:

  1. All scouts and adults coming to Camporee (this includes troop leadership, Adult and Youth Camporee Staff) MUST be registered with your Troop using the online registration process.  Please note that any Youth Staff from your troop must be registered with your troop. It is each Troop’s responsibility to ensure that every attending Adult is up to date with the required Training.
  2. Your Unit must have Medical Forms Part A & Part B for each Scout (Including Adults) at camp.  Keep the Medical Forms with your Unit.  They must be easily available if needed for a medical issue.
  3. As needed, all adults attendees may be asked to help with events, inspections, and logistics throughout the duration of Camp.
  4. Scouts need to bring a signed BSA permission form (one copy) for rifles, archery and tomahawks.
  5. Overnight Car Parking Fee - $10 (Cash Only) Collected at Camp Entrance.  Only Vehicles with Troop Supplies should plan to use the limited Parking that is available.  Campers should carpool, be dropped off at the camp entrance, and hike in.

We ask every attending Troop to nominate one Adult and two Youth (First-class and above, 14-year old and above) to apply for a Staff position using this LINK.  Please submit your and your SM-approved Youth nominations by no later than March 15 (earlier is fine, really).
