Herms District is hosting its annual Environmental & Conservation Merit Badges Advancement Day. Led by Roy Adam, Herms Merit Badge Counselors will be volunteering their time to teach Scouts about the sciences. Scouts will work on one merit badge of their choice. Scouts who complete pre-requisites before camp will be able to complete their merit badge at camp! Time will be reserved at the end of the day for Scouts with partials to meet with merit badge counselors. End of the day includes an hour service project for Camp Herms. All youth are expected to stay and contribute as we are all hear to learn and take care of our precious natural resources.
$20 per scout includes CHECK event patch!

Classes Available: Environmental Science, Geology, Soil and Water Conservation, Weathr, Insect Study, Mammal Study, and Astronomy. Pre-reqs will be provided.

Check In 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM
Flags 8:45 AM – 8:55 AM
Merit Badge Classes (First half) 9:00 AM -12:00 PM
Lunch Break 12:00 PM – 12:30 PM
Merit Badge Classes (Continued) 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM
Camp Herms Service Project 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM
(From 2:00-3:00 pm MB counselors will also be available to work with scouts who have partials.)
UNIFORM: Class A
BE PREPARED WITH: Pre-reqs completed, Notebook, pen/pencil, camp chair, water, bag lunch, BLUE CARD signed by Scoutmaster, Work Gloves, MB Book, MB Worksheets strongly recommended (Merit Badge worksheets may be downloaded free at: www.meritbadge.org or www.USScouts.org).
