Shotgun Merit Badge at Rancho Los Mochos 

8:30AM - 4PM
Minimum age 13 years old, not recommended for Scouts under 14 years old.

We will meet at camp HQ for check-in and class will start by 9AM

A BSA SIGNED SHOOTING SPORTS PERMISSION must be completed for each Scout participating 

BRING:

• Completed and signed Shooting Sports Permission Form (only one copy)
• If you have a "Yellow Card" from completing the shooting range waiver previously, bring it.
• Shotgun merit badge Blue Card opened with your Scoutmaster
• Scout uniform is not required, and "Class A" is Discouraged as we will be shooting and cleaning the shotguns afterwards
• Dress for the weather - rain, shine, warm, cold. 
• Water, hat, and sunscreen
• You should bring snacks/lunch. We do not take a formal lunch break but there will be breaks thru the day to snack/eat  

Be prepared to actively demonstrate the knowledge and skills outlined in the Merit Badge Book & Workbook, which should be completed prior to class

Students may finish before 4pm - but we will close the range down at 4pm  

NOTE: - There will also be a Camp Los Mochos work day going on and parents / drivers are welcome to help with projects or they may sit in and audit and observe the training course.
