Briones Cub Scouts Target Sports Days, March 1 - March 3, 2024 With Optional Overnight Camping

Important Notes:

• Preferably, register with the session your Pack has chosen so your Cubs can join other friends from their Pack.

• Register for BOTH the Day Session and the Night Camping options if you want to participate in both.  The Day Sessions include the fun activities listed below.  The Night Camping option is for the night before the Day Session.

Session I:

Saturday March 2, 8:30am - 4pm with optional overnight camping from Friday March 1 (arrive at 5pm) to Saturday March 2 

Cost for Session I:

Sibling - Saturday Day Session Only (Archery/BB Gun excluded) - $27

Session II:

Sunday March 3, 8:30am - 4pm with optional overnight camping from Saturday March 2 (arrive at 5pm) to Sunday March 3

Cub Scout - Saturday Night Camping Only - $10

Adult Attendee - Sunday Day Session Only - $0

Note: You can only book one Session for Cubs (Cubs cannot participate both days).

• Bring your own lunch/dinner/breakfast (or coordinate with your Pack). Light snacks will be provided during day session

Bringing your Cub Scout to a Briones Cub Scouts Target Sports Days provides an exciting opportunity for them to learn about the history of archery and BB guns, while also learning to use them safely. This unique and memorable experience can help build self-confidence, promote discipline, and develop new skills.  Cub Scouts will go through eight stations and in addition to shooting BB guns and arrows, they will have fun participating in raingutter regata, treasure hunt, and working on a craft project. The fee per Cub covers all the materials used at various stations, and light snacks.

Per BSA guidelines, siblings and other unregistered youth ARE NOT ALLOWED to participate in actual shooting of a BB gun/arrows. They can participate in all the other activities.

Families can also choose to camp from from Friday, March 1 to Saturday March 2 for Session I or from Saturday March 2 to Sunday March 3 for Session II at a cost of $10 per person. Note that each family will be responsible for their own food.  We suggest coordinating with other members of your Pack.

The event will be held at Camp Herms which is often colder and wetter than surrounding locations. BE PREPARED!
