Mission Peak Day Camp 2022

Information

Join us for our incredible "Pioneers in Space: STEM at the Farm" Mission Peak Cub Scout Day Camp from June 13th to June 17th 2022 at Ardenwood Farm. 

This Cub Camp is open to all Boys and Girls (Cub Scouts) entering the 1st – 5th Grade.  ***Please note that Tigers (Scouts in 1st grade in Sept) must be accompanied full time by their parent/guardian (as a volunteer) if they wish to attend. If you are not currently a Scout, you can attend camp by filling out a membership application.

Early registration closes on May 31st, final registration closes on June 10th.   

Cub Scouts will participate in various activities such as:

TIMES: Day Camp Runs from 9:00am-3:30pm

Program: 9:00pm-3:30pm
Pick Up: 3:30pm-3:45pm

Volunteers 8:00am-4:00pm

REGISTRATION FEES/COST

Registration includes all activities and materials, Camp T-shirt, and official day camp scout patch.

TAGS (Tag Along Siblings)

Younger siblings are welcome to come participate in program while their older sibling is having fun at camp.  This also allows their mom or dad to volunteer and make camp a great experience for the family.  

TAGS do have a fee of $20 and it covers a T shirt and Patch as well as their parent's supervision for the week.

Registration Tips

Remember, Day Camp enrollment is based on their rank and grade your scout WILL BE enrolled in  Sept of 2021. 

(Tiger 1st Grade, ***Please note that Tigers (Scouts in 1st grade in Sept) must be accompanied full time by their parent/guardian (as a volunteer). This is a BSA regulation.
Wolf 2nd Grade
Bear 3rd Grade
Webelos 4th Grade
Arrow of Light (AOL) 5th Grade 

Scouts that have bridged or are in 6th Grade cannot attend this camp.

Please bring these form on the first day of camp or your child cannot attend camp regardless of registration. 

Adult Volunteers

Day Camp is 100% volunteer run. Adult and Jr. Helper volunteers are needed to make this a great camp for all! 
Adults may help as:

Den leaders (Escort and help Cub Scouts at various stations)  

Station leaders (Teach Cubs how to complete projects and/or perform activities)

DISCOUNTS AVAILABLE - There is also a monetary incentive for volunteering at your scout’s  camp this year too! If you volunteer a certain number of days, you get refund on your scout’s tuition making the final cost the following:

Volunteer 2 Days - $200 final cost of enrollment

Volunteer 3 Days - $175 final cost of enrollment

Volunteer 4 Days - $150 final cost of enrollment

Volunteer 5 Days - $100 final cost of enrollment

Payment is due is in full upon registering and the refund checks will be issued after the conclusion of camp and confirmation of days volunteered. 


Adult Volunteer Requirements - There are some requirements to ensure the safety of all Day Camp Participants:

BSA Registered- To be an adult volunteer, you must be BSA registered.  If you’re leader with your pack or troop, you most likely are already registered.  If you’re a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle of a cub scout and are not involved with the pack or troop, you need to fill out an application. If you filled out an application to volunteer at camp last year, you need to do it again this year (BSA Rule not mine). Download the BSA Adult Member Application on the right side of the screen under attachments.

Current Youth Protection Training (YPT) Certification for all Adults - You’ll need to send a copy of your certificate with your registration.  Don’t worry if you don’t’ have one, training is online. Link is on the right side of the screen under attachments.

Directions are available once you click on the link: Create an account. Click on Menu in the upper left.  Then click on my dashboard.  Your training should now be on the screen.  Click on Youth protection training certification take course. Follow instructions on course page to take course and print certification.  Please note this class takes about an hour.

Orientation– To help make this a safe, fun and memorable event for the Cubs, all volunteers must attend at least one Orientation/Training meeting.  Dates and times to be announced closer to the camp date. .

Jr. Helper Volunteer Requirements

For Jr. Helpers must be between 8th-12th grade or are in the 6th-7th Grade and have a parent volunteering. Any Jr. Helper must be a registered BSA youth.  If you’re registered as a Boy Scout, Sea Scout, Venture Scout or Explorer Scout, you will not need to fill out a youth application.  All other youth must fill out a Youth Application. Link to the form is on the right side of the screen under attachments.
Training Session– To help make this a safe, fun and memorable event for the Cubs, all volunteers must attend at least one Training meeting; details on the dates and times to be announced closer to the camp date.

TAG Program (For Volunteer’s kids under 1st Grade)

Siblings of our registered cub scouts are called Tag-a-longs or “Tags”. Tags may only attend camp if their parent is volunteering the whole time.
