Join us for our incredible Passport to Adventure Day Camp!  

Camp is open to all Boys and Girls (Cub Scouts) entering the 1st – 5th Grade. If you are not currently a Scout, you can still attend camp.

You'll discover and learn things from all over the world.  Cub Scouts will play and participate in:

  • Valuable Cub/Boy Scout Skills/Crafts
  • Earn the Shooting Sports Award in
    • Archery 
    • BB Guns
  • Science/Culture Experience
  • Wood projects
  • Make new friends
  • Meet Scouts from different troops

DATE: June 24-28, 2019

TIMES:

Campers 

  • Drop Off: 9:00-9:15am
  • Program: 9:15am-3:30pm
  • Pick Up: 3:30pm 
  • End of week program: Friday, 2:00pm

Volunteers 8:30am to 3:45pm 

LOCATION: 1100 James Place, El Cerrito, 94530

REGISTRATION FEES/COST

Registration includes all activities and materials, Camp T-shirt, and patch. 

Cub Scouts

  • Early Price $125  (before March 31, 2019)
  • Regular Price $150 (before May 31, 2019)
  • Late Price $175 (after June 1, 2019)

Non-Registered Cub Scouts must fill out a youth membership and pay and additional registration fee of $21. Download the Member Application on the right side of the screen under attachments, if needed. 

Tags, Jr. Helpers and Adults Fees

Tags - $25 (Parent must be a volunteer)

Jr. Helper - $10 

Adults - FREE

Rank and Grade your scout WILL BE in Sept of  2019 

  • Tiger 1st Grade, ***Please note that Tiger’s (Scouts in 1st grade in Sept) must be accompanied full time by their parent/guardian (as a volunteer). This is a BSA regulation.
  • Wolf 2nd Grade,
  • Bear 3rd,Grade
  • Webelos 4th Grade
  • Arrow of Light (AOL) 5th Grade

Cub Scouts Forms

Links to the forms are on the right side of the screen under attachments. See ways to turn in forms below.  The following items are required to attend camp. 

  • Medical AB Form
  • Cub Scout Shooting form
  • Copy of participants medical card (this includes adult volunteers)

Adult Volunteers

  • Day Camp is 100% volunteer run. Adult  and Jr. Helper volunteers are needed to make this a great camp for all!
  • Adults may help as:
    • den leaders (escort and help Cub Scouts at various stations)  
    • station leaders (Teach Cubs how to complete projects and/or perform activities)
  • Refund of $100 of your cub scout registration fee for camp. You will receive a credit on your bank card or check about 3-4 weeks after camp closes. 
  • Requirements:  Being an Adult Volunteer is a fun and rewarding experience. But there are some requirements to ensure the safety of all Day Camp Participants.  Volunteers must be:
    • BSA Registered- To be an adult volunteer you must be BSA registered.  If you’re leader with your pack or troop you most likely are already registered.  If you’re a parent, grandparent, aunt or uncle of a cub scout and are not involved with the pack or troop you need to fill out an application. If you filled out an application to volunteer at camp last year you need to do it again this year (BSA Rule not mine) Down load the BSA Adult Member Application on the right side of the screen under attachments.
    • Current Youth Protection Training (YPT) Certification for all Adults. You’ll need to send a copy of your certificate with your registration.  Don’t worry if you don't have one, training is online. Link is on the right side of the screen under attachments.
      • Directions once you click on the link: Create an account. Click on Menu in the upper left.  Then click on my dashboard.  Your training should now be on the screen.  Click on Youth protection training certification, take course. Follow instructions on course page to take course and print certification.  Please note this class takes about an hour.
    • Orientation– To help make this a safe, fun and memorable event for the Cubs, all volunteers must attend the orientation/training meeting, and help with either set-up or breakdown of camp. 
    • Read and sign acknowledgement of Den Leaders Guide. Link to the guide is on the right side of the screen under attachments.

Jr. Helper Volunteer Requirements

  • For Jr. Helpers 6th-12th grade you must be a registered BSA youth.  If you’re registered as a Boy Scout, Sea Scout, Venture Scout or Explorer Scout you will not need to fill out a youth application.  All  other youth must fill out a Youth Application.  Link to the form is on the right side of the screen under attachments.
  • Training Session– To help make this a safe, fun and memorable event for the Cubs, all volunteers must attend the training meeting.

Tag Program (For Volunteer kids under 1st Grade)

  • Siblings of our registered cub scouts are called Tag-a-longs or “Tags”. Tags may only attend camp if their parent is volunteering in camp.  All tags must be potty-trained unless parent is working in the tag dept.
