Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation (BALOO) Training
WHERE: | Camp Royaneh 4600 Scanlon Rd Cazadero CA 95421 | WHO: | All Cub Scout Leaders. BALOO training is required for a Cub leader to take the Pack on an overnight trip. |
WHEN: | March 28, 2026 8:00AM (Saturday) to March 29, 2026 1:30 PM (Sunday) Participants are encourasged to arrive Friday night before 10 pm. |
| BALOO Training is a fun-filled overnight program of hands-on skill training designed to help Cub Leaders to take their Packs on overnight campouts. For a Pack to run an overnight program, it is required that at least one leader be BALOO trained. |
TIME: | Check-in: Saturday, March 28, 2026, 8:00 AM Training Session: Saturday, March 28, 2026, 8:30 AM thru Sunday, March 29, 2026, 1:30 PM Friday night arrival possible, for extra fee which includes Saturday breakfast. Friday arrival time: 5 pm - 10 pm | COST: | Advanced Registration: $60.00 Deadline: March 13, 2026 (Friday) Late Registration: $70.00 Please call or e-mail for late registration availability. Learn more about camping equipment, campfire planning, health and safety considerations, Cub Scout cooking, and program planning. The program is a 1 ½ day experience and the registration fees include overnight camping, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast and a snack on Sunday. Things to bring: You will receive a detailed welcome letter the week before the course.
