IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills)

Event Details

For ALL Registered Adult Leaders:

Date: Friday & Saturday, March 26-27, 2021

Place: Donald W. Reynolds Training Center campsite, Camp Rockefeller Damascus, AR

Time: Registration at 5:30 pm, March 26. Training is from 6:00 pm Marcy 26 to 4:00 pm March 27.

Cost: $10.00

Registration deadline: March 26 at 11:59 pm (Please register earlier if possible).

This course uses and teaches the Patrol and E.D.G.E. methods. Participants will be introduced to a wide variety of outdoor skills including fire building, camp site selection, cooking, knots, etc. Participants will be outdoors all weekend regardless of weather. There will be no dinner on Friday but there will be a cracker barrel. Participants will be responsible for their own meals on Saturday, March 27.

NOTE: Fees include materials, meals, cracker barrel.

Join your fellow Scouters from across the Pinnacle District for IOLS. This course provides an introduction to outdoor skills, running an outdoor program, and/or camp outs. Remember, for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmasters this class is required for you to be fully trained.

Minimum 10 Participants. Maximum 30 Participants.
