The Quapaw Area Council, West Ark Council and Chickasaw Council will be offering Level II Climbing training and RE-Evaluation. Instructors, will have the opportunity to hone their climbing and rappelling skills, learn about new processes and have a great time. Minimum age is 16. Class size is limited to 30 participants.

Climbing Instructors Training –Level II (Fee $20)
March 27th – 29th at Sam’s Throne
Instruction will begin Friday night at the campfire (Sam’s Throne) and will continue through Sunday afternoon at Camp Orr. Meals will be provided by QAC. Camping will be near the climbing area. This course will continue your training on natural rock. There will be lots of time to instruct and practice what you learned in your Foundations class. We will be evaluating you, so get involved. Level II can be completed and or re-evaluated.

Prerequisites:

• Currently registered Scout or Leader and at least 16 years old, or approval.

• BSA medical form (parts A, B & C)

• Good physical condition

• Ability to tie a knot

• Read over Belay On (study before hand)

• A burning desire to learn!

• Anchoring systems
• Mock sport lead, mock trad lead
• Setting up Top Ropes on Sport Routes
• Light/Fast/Different Alternative ways to set up climbs and rappels 
• Ascending and Change-overs
• Incident resolution

• Updates from National and changes to Standards
