COURSE:   IOLS (Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills) / BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)

Description: Join your fellow Scouters from across the Pinnacle District for IOLS and BALOO. This course provides an introduction to outdoor skills, running an outdoor program, or camp outs. Remember, for Unit Leaders (Scoutmasters, Cubmasters, Crew Leaders, Explorer Advisors) this class is required for you to be fully trained.

This course uses and teaches the Patrol and E.D.G.E. methods. Participants will be introduced to a wide variety of outdoor skills including first aid, fire building, camp site selection, cooking etc. Participants will be outdoors all weekend regardless of weather. There will be no dinner on Friday but there will be a cracker barrel. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday.
