New Scouts, BSA units, charter renewals, summer camps with a completely different camp population than ever before … and that’s just the start of a list.
We know being a Commissioner is tough, taxing work and the one thing we all share is we are all Commissioners, doing specialized work to make Scouting better every day. There is much we need to know and new information coming our way every day.
So – let’s get together for the first time ever in Area 8 to hear and share knowledge, both new and old.

This one-day, intensive updates will help answer your questions on:
COMMISSIONER TOOLS AND HOW TO USE THE INFORMATION EFFECTIVELY: List of reports and demonstration on those reports to improve commissioner administration. (Presentation by Region Six Analytics Commissioner)
COMMISSIONER RECRUITING – FINDING THE BEST COMMISSIONERS TO HELP YOU SERVE YOUTH
TRAINING UPDATES – WHAT’S NEW AND WHAT’S COMING
BEST PRACTICES IN SERVING OUR FAMILY SCOUTING UNITS
LINKING YOUR WORK TO THAT OF OTHERS IN SERVING UNITS – EFFECTIVE USE OF DISTRICT AND COUNCIL COMMITTEES
DETAILS AND REGISTRATION: Friday night cracker barrel - it will be more like a full meal.
A full breakfast and complete lunch meal on Saturday.
Use of the conference center rooms and associated technology.
TIMES: Gathering and fellowship begin at 6:00 PM. Cracker Barrel will begin at 8:00 PM.
COST: $45 for those arriving Friday night and $20 for those coming in Saturday only.
ACCOMMODATIONS: Sleeping room in Reynolds for Friday night (bring own bedding or sleeping bag).
