Crowley's Ridge Twilight Camp

Event Details

The Crowley’s Ridge District Cub Scout Twilight Camp will be held June 10th - 11th and resuming on June 13th-14th with Friday being Parent Day at South Caraway Baptist Church 3707 South Caraway Rd in Jonesboro from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. each evening. This packet is meant to assist the pack coordinator with registering Scouts, Volunteers, and Leaders for the upcoming Day Camp. It includes all information and necessary forms that should be submitted by the Pack to register a Pack’s attendees.

Pack Coordinator:

  • Each Pack should register one Pack coordinator to gather all forms and fill out enclosed sheets making sure all forms are filled out properly.

  • Arrange Scouts by rank they will be in June 2019.

  • Make sure to have one adult walking leader for every five Scouts.

  • All Walking Leaders need to complete Youth Protection Training prior to Day Camp. A copy of the training certification/card needs to be included with each registration.

  • All Walking Leaders need to complete Weather Hazard Training prior to Day Camp. A copy of the training certification/card needs to be included with each registration.

  • Remember the deadlines. All forms and fees are to be submitted as a Pack by the Pack Coordinator.

    We will NOT be excepting any registrations after May 9th.

  • Be sure to give yourself adequate time between collecting the forms from the Pack and the registration deadlines.

 Walking Leaders

Every parent is asked to consider volunteering at least one evening to be a “walking leader.” Include health forms and a copy of the current Youth Protection Training certificate when turning in registration forms.

A walking leader is someone who will be assigned a den with 8-10 scouts with another leader. The walking leader will walk with the scouts to the different activities and help throughout the evening.

We will make every attempt to have a walking leader assigned to their child’s den. However, if there are not enough volunteers from a pack or particular rank, a walking leader may need to be assigned to another den that is without a leader.

Walking leaders will need to pay the $10.00 adult staff fee and will receive an adult camp t-shirt. The shirt is to be worn at all times while at Twilight Camp.
