Philmont Contingent 2025

If you ever wanted to go to Philmont and experience gorgeous backcountry and outdoor activities – this is the place, now is the time.  Join Scouts from the Grand Canyon Council and have an unforgettable adventure at the Boy Scouts of America’s largest High Adventure Base.  The mountains of New Mexico will offer you unforgettable adventures in backpacking and activities that range from gold panning to burrow packing.  Memories and friends will be made and challenges will be overcome—Philmont is one of Scouting’s greatest adventures. 

WHO

The Grand Canyon Council will be sending two crews to Philmont from June 8, 2025 to June 20, 2025. We are excited to offer openings to both male and female participants.  Participants must be registered members of the BSA who will be 14 years of age OR have completed 8th grade and be at least 13 years of age prior to participation.  All participants must have a medical form and pass BSA height/weight requirements.  Please do NOT request or expect any exceptions to this rule. 

WHEN

June 8 - June 20, 2025

FEE

The total fee for contingent participants is $1,995.00.

Each participant will have to pay a $275 non-refundable deposit to secure their spot on the crew.
