Winter Day Camp - Cub Scouts to the Rescue! 2019-2020
Presents
CUB SCOUTS TO THE RESCUE!
at the Heard Scout Pueblo
All Cub Scouts are invited to participate in our Cub Scout Winter Day Camp! This will be a great opportunity for Cub Scouts to spend quality time with family over their winter break.
Any registered Cub Scout can attend with their pack, or as an individual Scout with their parent. At camp all Scouts will be in dens made of 6-8 Cubs, and will rotate through their program areas as a group. Adults who attend will help monitor their Cubs. The Guide to Safe Scouting requires one adult for every four Cubs; tigers and lions require one adult for each Cub.
Please keep in mind that it will be cold during the morning hours as this is Winter Day Camp. We cannot control the weather, but we can recommend that Scouts and Adults dress in layers - plan to have a small pack or tote to keep the layers in when they are taken off as it warms up during the day. Please put names on jackets and other layering pieces in the event they get left behind!
Session 1: Dec. 27-29, Friday to Sunday, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm each day
Session 2: Jan. 3-5, Friday to Sunday, 9:00 am - 2:30 pm each day
Registration Fees - Registration closes Dec. 22nd so that the volunteer admin team can organize rotation schedules, program orders, and other preparations can be made. Walk in registration may be allowed if the session is not sold out.
Youth - registration is for all three days of a session.
Early Bird: $55 if paid before Nov. 11 (Veteran's Day)
Regular: $65 from Nov. 12 until Dec. 20
Walk-in: $75 for registration on site.
Adult - Adult registration fees include a patch and cover the Environmental Maintenance Assessment ($3/day). EMA is a fee for every camper per day which contributes towards a fund for the maintenance and improvement of the camp. Beanies and drawstring bags may be purchased in addition to the registration fees. There is no sliding fee as adult registration is at cost.
Three day - $10
One day - $4
Youth Registration includes:
- Beanie hat
- Patch
- Drawstring Backpack
- Three days of fun and activities!
There will not be a shirt option for WDC, as Scouts are generally wearing layers during WDC and do not get to usually wear their shirt during the activities. In place of the shirts, we will now be giving each Scout a beanie hat to help layer up during the cold! This will also ensure that each Scout can receive a one-size-fits-all beanie, as shirts would generally run out of particular sizes.
