Additional Information:  Scouts and Parents: Part 1 is required to participate in Part 2. If you cannot commit definitively to both dates, then please do not sign up your Scout. This is not a 'sit and watch' clinic. To earn this merit badge a Scout must actually demonstrate with proficiency (= do with proficiency) what's required. Please note that simply demonstrating (doing) a skill set does not automatically mean that it was accomplished with proficiency. If your Scout is not prepared beforehand, then it's unlikely he will earn this merit badge.
