The Grand Canyon Council in conjunction with Freeport-McMoRan have joined together to offer your Scouts the best opportunity to earn the:

Mining in Society Merit Badge.

Adults are REQUIRED to REGISTER for this MB clinic (at no cost) if attending.  IF there is room for adults tobe able to participate on the tour, we will include them, but it is important for the adults to register so that we can have an accurate count for the tour and for food. 

When:  Saturday, January 11th, 2020 from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM

             (Please be on-time or you might be turned away)

Prerequisites:

• Bring Worksheet with the following items completed: Requirements 1a, 1b and 1c, and Requirements 7a, 7b, 7c or 7d
• Read the Mining in Society MB booklet (available at Scout Shop)
• Mining in Society worksheet and pen!
• Dress Code-ALL attendees are required for safety to wear long pants and closed-toed shoes.
• Mine Tour Permission Slip
• Blue cards are to be filled out with the following information prior to arriving at the workshop
• Badge requirements
• Their personal information
• Please keep in mind that the scouts take the priority on the tour, if room adults will be allowed to go, so adults will need to register for an accurate count for the tour and food. Thank you.
