Duty to God Hike

You are invited to join us for the 28th Annual Duty to God Hike! This urban hike will be about five miles long and explores the diversity of religions in our community. 

Who:     Scouts, families and friends are welcome to join us!

What:    A five (5) mile walk/hike visiting houses of worship, hearing presentations and learning about various faith traditions and the Ten Commandments. Each presentation concludes with a few questions and answers pertaining to the stop.  

When:    Friday, November 24, 2023 from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Where:   Starting point is at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 5045 E. Thomas Rd, Phoenix

Why:  This event has become a well-respected tradition in our Council and offers Scouts the opportunity to demonstrate a duty to God and gain respect for others.

The cost is $10 per person and includes a hike patch, water, soda and dessert.  Families should bring their own lunches.  We walk to the houses of worship as a group and one stop will include our lunch stop.
