For Rifle MB  - we recommend the Troop come to the Pueblo Friday evening to the range for the book portion.  Then, on Saturday, they shoot for the qualification part. PLEASE BRING YOUR BLUE CARDS, PRE-FILLED OUT. Blue cards are available for purchase at the Scout Shop right on the property.

For Rifle Open Shoot - Is the work for your rifle merit badge complete? Then you can shoot for NRA awards and earn additional patches!

Participants at the Rifle Range will have an opportunity to learn how to shoot and hone their skills with the Range's accurate .22 Target Rifles on a 50-foot Range. This is accomplished in a safe, controlled environment under the watchful eyes of NRA-certified and BSA-approved instructors. Each session begins with a thorough safety briefing and follows with ample time to work towards the shooting portion of the Rifle Merit Badge. Shooters of all skill levels are welcome to participate whether it is for the Merit Badge, NRA Qualification Awards, or just for fun.

Our instructors are experienced in helping everyone from beginners to experts. Subject to available space, Moms, Dads, Sisters, and Brothers might even get a chance to shoot. You must be a registered Scout and at least eleven years old, to participate in the morning open shoot courses.

Cub Scouts: Cub Scouts Shooting Sports Award Program (Slingshots and BB Guns)

This program will go through the requirements for your Cub Scout to earn their Shooting Sports Award based on their rank. We will have a fun time on the range reviewing safety rules, learning how to use BB guns and Slingshots, and practicing our range skills. By the end of this program, your Cub will have had the opportunity to earn their Cub Scout Shooting Sports award. Patches and pins will be available at the Scout Shop for immediate purchase.

We recommend Cub Scouts wear an activity uniform and closed-toed shoes.

Age Restrictions:

Lions cannot use BB Guns.

Tigers must have an adult partner at all times.

All ages may use slingshots.

Please see the Cub Scout Shooting Sports Awards FAQ for more detailed information.

Please note: There is no on-site registration available. Please register in advance.
