Small-Boat Sailing Merit Badge

Cost: $45   ($35 for early birds!)

Dates: Oct 13  10:30am - 3:30pm AZ time (Sign up by August 27th to secure your early bird rate!)

           Nov 10  10:30am - 3:30pm AZ time (Sign up by September 10th to secure your early bird rate!)

Meeting Location: Pleasant Harbor Marina, N. 87th Ave., Peoria, AZ 85383 

Previous Knowledge Required: Completion of all sections of the Small Boat Sailing Merit Badge program, with the required signatures from your Adult Leaders confirming your learning and effort of all Sections EXCEPT Section 6, as this "on-the-water" section is the goal of these days.

What you will learn: Upon successfully completing Section 6, you will have officially completed all Sections of the Small Boat Sailing Merit Badge and will have earned the badge. Once earned, you will have the skill set required to be a Sailing Youth Leader/Instructor on Sea Scout Ship 3500 when it relaunches in Fall 2025.

What to bring: Lunch, water, change of clothes, sailing gear (hat, glasses, SPF), and a towel in a bag or backpack.

We will send specific instructions for where to meet up. There is spotty cell phone reception at this harbor. Please take a look at the specific meet up instructions before heading out to the harbor.
