Camporee, Rt. 66 Shoot, and IOLS/BALOO Training
When: April 29-May 1, 2022 Check in @4 pm
Where: Camp Raymond
Cost: $23 per participant - includes supplies, facility fees, lunch, patches, ribbons, and prizes
For Shoot:
Open to all Grand Canyon Council Scouts and adult leaders!
Participants will shoot .22 caliber rifles, 20-gauge shotguns, and archery.
Scouts will compete for team (3 per team) and individual scores on Rifle,
Archery, and Shotgun will be individual competition only.
Top Shot Competition: Highest score across all three events
Troops are encouraged to camp Friday night!
Friday camping check in is at 4pm
Competition Check In:
Check in for camping Scouts starts Saturday at 8:00am
Check in for non-camping Scouts starts at 8:45am
For IOLS/BALOO participants:
Check in: Saturday, April 30th 8 am-8:30 am
Check out: Sunday May 1st 11:30 am-12 pm
Required Adult Leader Outdoor Skills Training. Outdoor Skills taught include: Campsite selection, Outdoor Ethics, fire-building, cooking, knots, & lashings, animal and plant identification, woods tools, map and compass backpacking, and campfire programs. Participants will be grouped into patrols to learn about the Patrol Method of Scouting. Most of the Outdoor Skills taught will require hands on learning by the participants.
