Camp Geronimo

Calling all Arrowmen & friends of Geronimo!

Camp Geronimo is in need of assistance in gearing up for summer camp. Bring your tent and cheerful service and help prepare Geronimo for all the campers this summer.

Lodge members and non-members are welcome to attend. For non-members registering, please use the OA Guest registration.

When: 6pm Friday May 13 - 11am Sunday May 15

There is no cost for this event. The lodge will be providing food, but we need to know who is coming. Registration will be closing Sunday May 8, so don't delay in getting registered. Donations to help offset the cost of food can be made during registration

Primary projects for the weekend from the ranger:

• Cutting and removal of downed trees in the sites. If anyone can bring chain saws, the ranger can provide gas, 2 stroke and bar oil. Anyone bringing and using a chain saw will be required to wear complete PPE (chaps, hard hats, gloves, glasses and ear plugs). The camp does have hard hats, glasses, ear plugs, and 3 pairs of chaps. Bring gloves.
  • This is a priority project as it will help alleviate fuel for potential fires
• Need assistance with rough framing to help fix a structure at camp site 11. If someone has a heavy-duty jack it would be very handy.
• Tent platforms in most campsites need plywood put back on for flooring. 
• Cleaning of toilets, sinks, facilities in sites 16-29, dining hall, health lodge, trading post, central restrooms, shooting range and pool area. General cleaning of the same will also help

Please make sure that all participants bring a completed BSA medical form parts A, B1 & B2. You must have a completed and signed form for each participant to be able to be on property
