2020 BSA Report to the State

This year will mark the 110th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. To celebrate this historic milestone, Grand Canyon Council, BSA, is taking the lead in organizing the 2020 Scouting Report to the State of Arizona and cordially invites your participation. The Report to the State is an opportunity for scouts to communicate to state officials the service and benefits that scouting provides Arizona. This report is to be presented by Scouts to the state legislature, representatives of the Governor, and the state Supreme Court.
Attire: Field Uniform (and be prepared for weather)
Bring with you: Lunch; and a parent for Scouts that cannot drive themselves
Audience: Scouts within the Cub Scout, Scouts BSA, Venturing, Sea Scouting, and Exploring Programs

Agenda:
9:30am - Arrival
10-11:15 - Capitol Tour
11:15-12:15 - Lunch at Wesley Bolin Plaza (dependent on weather)
12:20 - Meet House Sargent of Arms for House Floor Session
12:30 - Meet Speaker Bowers in Member Lounge
1:00 -1:15 - Floor session (Scouts will post colors and lead the prayer and pledge)
1:00 - 2nd Scout delegation meets with Senate President Fann.
1:30 - 1:45 p.m.- Scouts lead Pledge on Senate Floor
2:00- Meeting w/Governor’s Staff and Potential Tour of 9th Floor
3:15-4:30 - Visit to the Supreme Court
