A float on the Colorado River!

Fee:  Early Bird - $20 

        Regular fee begins on October 17th - $30.

Location: West Wetlands Park, Yuma, AZ

Who:  Scouts BSA Members, Venture Crew Members, Webelos 2 AOL Scouts

Come join the adventure!!!    You are invited to join us for a weekend of fun and fellowship with friendly patrol competitions!   Webelos will have their own activities and there will be opportunities for Scouts working on Tenderfoot Rank to complete a number of requirements.

The feature event is canoeing down 15 miles of the Colorado River on Saturday!  Well, some others might say the feature event is the Patrol Cookoff for Saturday Dinner...because the special ingredient is.....BACON!!

Don't miss out on this GREAT outdoors event!  Scouts are welcome from all districts!

Please note--

1. Registration is by unit!  Please be sure to let us know your unit number when you register!!

2. Safety is our prime concern, therefore for each 10 participants, there needs to be one adult leader certified in Safety Afloat.  The same leader or another needs to be CPR trained and First Aid trained.  See the Leader Packet for specifics.   For Safety Afloat online training please visit my.scouting.org.

3. Your unit should bring current BSA Health and Medical Forms Parts A and B for all participants, including adults.

4. Each adult and youth's Parent/Guardian needs to sign the COVID-19 Warning and Waiver and bring it to Check-in. 

5.  Please download the Pre-Event Medical Screening Checklist and bring it to Check-in.

6.  Please download the Leader Packet entitled "Colorado River Canoe Run 2020" and read through it.   DETAILS about the event, including the schedule, Check-in procedures, required forms, Covid Mitigation steps, required LEADER TRAINING, what to bring and all of that good stuff, are in the packet.
