Introduction to Leadership Skill for Troops (ILST)
Prepare your Troop's young leaders to lead with confidence.
This council-level ILST course is designed for newly elected Scouts BSA youth leaders across the Grand Canyon Council. Hosted at Heard Scout Pueblo, this one-day training will equip participants with foundational leadership skills, reinforce the values of the Scout Oath and Law, and prepare them for greater success within their Patrols and Troops.
Participants will rotate through hands-on, engaging modules led by trained youth staff using the EDGE method, all while learning in a fun, team-oriented environment.
This course is a required prerequisite for NYLT and is ideal for SPLs, ASPLs, Patrol Leaders, Quartermasters, and any other youth elected to a leadership position.
