Camp Horne Summer Resident Camping in 2025

Excitement is building as the summer resident camping season approaches. Cubs and Scouts who attend resident camping programs at Camp Horne are immersed in Scouting at its finest. An experienced and dedicated camp staff prepare and work hard to make your unit’s camping experience the best ever! Leaders are encouraged to be sure every Cub or Scout in their unit have the opportunity to attend.

2025 Camp Sessions:

Cub Resident Camp                         June 1-4
Scouts Resident Camp Week 1        June 8-14
Scouts Resident Camp Week 2        June 15-21

Important Steps:

1. Visit the Cub Scout Resident Camp or Scouts Resident Camp webpage for full details about camp. View and download a copy of the Leaders’ Guide for your session.
2. Promote camp with your Cubs, Scout, and parents. Be sure every youth member is signed up with your unit to attend.
3. Set up a fee payment plan so all fees can be paid top the Scout Service Center no later than May 23, 2025. This deadline is important so that needed program supplies and food may be ordered. A late fee of $25 per youth member will be incurred after this date.
4. Use this system to register your unit as soon as possible. Registration should be done by each unit, not individuals.

Payment of Fees:

• Mail a check made out to the “Black Warrior Council” so that it reaches the office no later than May 23rd.
• Stop by the office and make a payment in person.
• Call in your payment using a debit or credit card.
