Boy Scout Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills

Event Details

Boy Scout Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills (IOLS) is for Adult volunteers interested in enhancing their outdoor skills as it relates to advancing Boy Scouts thru First Class.  In essence, we want to bring the pages of the Scout Handbook to life.  The weekend will run like a troop event utilizing the patrol method so you can be challenged & improve your leadership of a boy-led organization.  We will role model that Scouting is a game with a purpose that makes learning fun.

Class begins at 6pm Friday & ends 3:30pm Sunday. This is an overnight experience, so participants should bring their own 10 essentials, sleeping bag, tent, necessary personal items, writing instrument, & notepad.  Course fee includes printed materials & meals.  A confirmation letter with additional details will be sent out prior to the course weekend.  A field uniform (class-A) is required & a positive attitude is expected.

Should you be unable to register for this event or need to cancel (before Tuesday, February 23, 2016), please contact Greg McDaniel at greg.mcdaniel@scouting.org.
