Grand Prairie's Third Annual Scouts BSA Fall Camporee
Grand Prairie is excited to host its Third Annual Scouts BSA Fall Camporee at the picturesque Rothwell Park in Moberly, MO, from October 9th to 11th, 2026. This year's Camporee promises a weekend filled with adventure, camaraderie, and skill-building. This event is open to all Great Rivers Council Scout BSA Units.
Morning Challenges:
Patrol-focused rotation challenges will take place Saturday morning, designed to test scouts' knowledge from Tenderfoot to 1st Class ranks along with a few surprises. These challenges will not be revealed until the event, ensuring a thrilling and competitive atmosphere. Event will be LIMITED to 18 patrols with recommended patrol size of no more than 6-7 scouts (less is OK). Event rotations will be focused on smaller patrol sizes for maximum scout participation. Scouts will be challenged with pioneering, orienteering, scout trivia, teamwork and more.
Afternoon Activities:
In the afternoon, scouts can enjoy the beautiful facilities of Rothwell Park with a variety of open activities, including Disc Golf, Archery, Hiking, Fishing, and more. There will be opportunities to earn a merit badge or two!
Merit Badge Opportunities:
- Fire Safety – Presented by the Moberly Fired Dept (Max of 12 Scouts)
- Prerquisites: 6A and 6B
- Signs, Signals and Codes (Max of 12 Scouts)
- Prerequisites: None
Service Project:
On Sunday, October 11th, all are invited to participate in a conservation focused service project at Rothwell Park. Scouts can earn up to 2 hours of service while making a positive impact on the community.
